4th of July Parade!

We headed to my Mom and Dad's house in Delta for the 4th of July weekend. This small town knows how to celebrate the 4th. Brandon started out the morning by running in the Delta Firecracker 5K at 6:30 am. He was pretty happy to run it in 23 minutes. Then we got the kids ready and took them to the parade at 9:30 am. It was pretty funny to see the kids get the hang of running for the candy. McCoy tried escaping a few times, but other than that we had a fun time. We then went home where Mom and I prepared a lunch of hamburgurs, hot dogs, fruit and veggie dip trays, and chips. By the time we finished lunch we put the kids down for naps and decided that we all needed a little rest. After we all woke up we just enjoyed the day being together. We also had some cake to go along with all that. We had a great time.
