Christmas Festivities and Traditions

We were able to be at my Mom and Dad's for Christmas this year and we had a great time with them. We traveled down to Delta on Christmas Eve night. My brother, Travis, and his family were here already. We haven't had a Christmas with them since they moved to Puerto Rico 3 years ago. So that was special. It was fun spending Christmas with lots of little kids again. Hudson and Remy lead the way in opening presents and getting cars set up. We had so many cars laying around all weekend. McCoy opened a remote control race car, books, clothes, a leapster letter writer, and a few other toys. Paisley received the homemade baby doll she is holding in the picture from her Aunt JoJo. She named her, Ginger. She also enjoyed getting clothes, books, an aqua doodle, her 1st tutu, and a special "pretty" silver bracelet from Papa. Brandon and I decided to go in on a present for eachother this year and bought a treadmill. We also received books, clothes, and candy. We all got really spoiled. We enjoyed being home and being with eachother. Thanks Mom and Dad, Trav and family, and Hollie and Adie. We love all our gifts.

My friend, Katie, told me about this Christmas Cottage light show in Ogden so when Hollie and Adie came we bundled the kids up and walked around this display of little cottages and tons of lights. It was beautiful but also cold. We got a good hour in before the kids were done. It was fun enjoying the festivities of Christmas this year.

Since I was a little girl we always recreated the Christmas Pageant at my Grandma Whatcott's house on Christmas Eve. My Mom has continued this tradition in her home so we all drew names and had 15 minutes to find our costumes. It was fun to have so many kids for the parts. Little baby Tea played baby Jesus flawlessly. It was extra special to have her added into the family this year. We love her so much.
