Barlow Christmas Poem

Twas a few days before Christmas and all through their town home,
The Barlow family were laughing and sitting alone.
The stockings were hung on the wall with care,
Because you can't find a chimney in the house anywhere.

McCoy has told Santa he wants a new big boy bed.
To sleep in and have "Cars" dreams race in his head.
He goes to pre-school each day with his back pack and cap.
He is doing real well, what a smart little chap.

When out of her bed Paisley makes such a clatter.
There are a lot of things to her that matter.
She loves to jump and run like a flash,
And she loves to wear dresses with jewelery and sash.

With little ones so lively and quick,
They know the must be good to get presents from St. Nick.
They are so close in age they seem to be the same,
Mom and Dad are constantly calling them by name.

"Now McCoy! Now Paisley! Now stop it right now!
Stop fighting, stop screaming, stop hitting, it's time for a time out!
To your room you must go and sit against the wall
Till you can get along with each other one and all."

As Brandon leaves for work each day to the State Tax Commission,
Norine stays home with the kids where she loves to cook in the kitchen.
Then they meet at the parking lot of Costco at 5 o'clock at night,
Switch kids and cars and Norine goes to work folding clothes with all her might.

They are both thankful for the money and the work.
They know in these times they cannot shirk.
Brandon still runs when he finds the time.
Norine stays busy with the kids and reads to improve her mind.

This family enjoys the Christmas spirit and feeling.
You'll find them hopeful and kneeling.
To see each of you would be such a sight and cheer.
They say, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a great New Year!"

Real cute poem! Sure had fun while you were here. It's so fun to see Paisley & McCoy's reaction to each present. It was "just the one they were waiting for!"
